This painting was created for the Oaklands Park signs project. Oswald Park is located in the Oaklands neighbourhood in Victoria, BC. Many residents spend time there using the playground, walking trail, ball diamond and off-leash dog area. To research for the painting a community playdate event was hosted in the park. I took many photos of people and their pets. I chose the best images and used them to create a composition to paint. This painting celebrates how neighbours and their animal companions can play together.
